Editorial policy
Urban News Briefing aims to make urban-life topics clear without smoothing away uncertainty. We distinguish explanation from opinion, identify the limits of a claim and correct material errors openly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate information and make the reasoning behind an explanation understandable. We avoid unsupported certainty and do not present a general observation as proof about every city. Readers should not treat our coverage as professional advice about planning, construction, transport or local requirements.
Independence
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. A partner does not get to determine our conclusions or disguise a promotional message as an independent editorial judgement. We assess proposals for relevance to our subject and readers.
Corrections
If a reader identifies a possible error, we review the specific claim and the information provided. When a material factual error is confirmed, we correct the affected text and make the change clear where appropriate. Contact us with the article and passage in question; disagreement with an interpretation alone is not necessarily a factual correction.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is identified clearly as such, and partner placements are labelled so readers can distinguish them from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that applies, the illustration is identified accordingly. Illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs.
